The MAX3375EEKA+T from Maxim Integrated Products is a ±15KV ESD protected, 1µA dual channel low voltage unidirectional level translator in 8 pin SOT-23 package. Externally applied voltages VCC and VL set logic levels on either side of device. A low voltage logic signal present on VL side of device appears as a high voltage logic signal on VCC side of device and vice-versa. The accept VL from 1.2V to 5.5V and VCC from 1.65V to 5.5V, making it ideal for data transfer between low voltage ASICs/PLDs and higher voltage systems. Features a ±15KV ESD protection on VCC side for greater protection in applications that route signals externally operate at data rate of 8Mbps over entire specified operating voltage range. Applications include SPI, MICROWIRE and I2C level translation, low voltage ASIC level, translation, smart card readers, cell phone cradles, portable POS systems, portable communication devices, low cost serial interfaces, cell phones, GPS and telecommunications equipments.

• VCC supply range from 1.65V to 5.50V, VL supply range from 1.2V to 5.5V
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
• Maximum data rate is 8Mbps and 500Kbps (open-drain driving)
• Level shift data in one direction (VL ? VCC or VCC ? VL) on any single data line
• One transmitters/one receiver, ultra low 1µA supply current in three state output mode
• 3-state output mode that reduces supply current to less than 1µA, thermal short circuit protection
• Low quiescent current of 130µA
• Thermal short circuit protection
• Operation down to +1.2V on VL
• ESD protected device provides level shifting necessary to allow data transfer in multivoltage system
